Forums souped up!
I’m happy to announce today that we’ve become a customer of Cloudflare the content delivery network. Their business is all about increasing website performance, minimizing downtime and making security easy by leveraging their worldwide CDN.
What this means for us is our forums are now more responsive, less prone to outages and secure with HTTPS, SSL encryption.
As we’ve only just moved over we’re not yet making the HTTPS part mandatory, you can choose to use it if you want by simply changing HTTP to HTTPS in your address bar when visiting our forums but as of right now the forums are supercharged and being delivered from Cloudflares CDN network so you’ll experience the decreased load times and faster response.
Over the next few days our main website, the one you’re reading this message on will also be transferring over to Cloudflare and will also offer HTTPS SSL encryption and the faster response times.
We’re always looking for ways to improve the performance of our websites and servers and I’m sure Cloudflare will make a big difference to both our Forum and Homepage.
